Here’s a track from a new album from respected UK boogie pianist Ben Waters, who teamed up with a cornucopia of like-minded souls to make Boogie 4 Stu, a lovely tribute to the Rolling Stones’ former road manager and piano player Ian Stewart, who passed away nigh on 25 years ago.

Our highlight is an amiable, loping version of Bob Dylan’s Watching The River Flow – made with the Stones, piloted by Bill Wyman on bass, and featuring a yowling lead vocal from, of course, Sir Michael Philip himself.

Jools Holland and PJ Harvey also guest on the record. It’s mixed by Glyn Johns, the cover art is a sensitive portrait of Stu by Sir Peter Blake, and it aims to raise funds for the British Heart Foundation.

What’s not to like?

Give it a spin right here. Check out the full album at Amazon UK or Amazon US.
