Jeremy Spencer

A wonderful old clip (turn up your volume, it’s not the best sound) of Peter Green’s Fleetwood Mac, with our Issue 90 cover star Jeremy Spencer singing and sliding..
Danny Kirwan (g), John McVie (b) and Mick Fleetwood (d), completing the line-up, of course.

This band put a whole new spin on my life – Peter Green in particular. I was of that generation who heard this stuff even before we ever heard the Black dudes. Green will always be the ‘real deal’ for me and many like me – not to mention they were the best in terms of making the Blues a whole new bag through western minds and engaging minor chord melody chops. What a band. Saw them live in Aberdeen Music Hall – the night I was baptised in the blues! Hallelujah!
yeah Dr Blues they were the real deal first time i saw them about 67/68 windsor jazz and blues fest they awesome not a word i normally use they were the bar everyone has to aim at and not many have reached their heights yet
